Summer Camps 2008

The Salmon River country is a landscape of mountains, rivers and valleys that have the power to replenish the spirit by their sheer beauty. Camp Discovery opens the door to the Salmon River country so participants can spend a week filled with memories to cherish for a lifetime. The cost-free camp programs provide an escape from the pressures of daily life and offer a chance to discover firsthand the magic of ‘river time.’

Salmon River Rafting Camp
August 7 to August 11
Multi-day non-wilderness whitewater raft trip on the Salmon River for teens with hemophilia or in cancer recovery
Ages 13-18, accompanied by a parent
-AND-
For children with hemophilia
Ages 8-12, accompanied by a parent
24 total participants

Ride ‘n’ Float Mountain Camp
August 17 to August 21
Ages 8-12, accompanied by a parent, 24 total participants
Ranch stay, for children with hemophilia

This camp is a 5 day / 4 night ranch stay that includes fishing, hiking, swimming, horseback riding and rafting on the Salmon River. Camp will be held at Twin Peaks Ranch located 18 miles south of Salmon, Idaho in the Salmon River Mountains. Click on this link to learn more about Twin Peaks Ranch.

Wilderness Rafting Camp
September 2 to September 6
Ages 19 and up, 12 – 15 total participants
5 day wilderness river trip for adults undergoing cancer recovery
